In posts of the past I've read that Adorna was possibly adopted... I haven't seen the dates connected with her but I'm thinking she may possibly have been a sister of Martha A.(Adorna?) Hurley who was the first wife of my 2nd grt grandfather, Joseph Carlock. Joseph A. Carlock married Martha A. Hurley Feb.22,1842 in prob. Astoria,Fulton Co., IL. Martha died in Astoria on Dec.16,1852 Their children were: WILLIAM H. CARLOCK b:May 22,1843 (I'm wondering if his middle name could have been Hurley??? He was killed in the Civil War) MARIA M. CARLOCK b:abt.1845 (this daughter's name was spelled Maria on Joseph's Civil War Pension but in light of the common use of the name Mariah in the Hurley family, I think her name was likely also Mariah....
