A search of the Illlinois Statewide Marriage Index 1763 - 1900 at the following site shows a listing for John F. CARLOCK and Ellen COLE, Apr. 3, 1884, Fayette Co., IL, volume A, page 132: <A HREF="http://www2.sos.state.il.us/cgi-bin/marriage">Marriage Search</A>. I cannot access my database at this time because my computer is low on memory and I cannot run my genealogical program until I finish upgrading my system. It seems very likely that John is related to my CARLOCK/CEARLOCK family who settled in Hurricane Township, Fayette Co., IL. Several of my Fayette Co. family members married COLEs.
