He changed his name to his wife's mothers maiden name, Brown. Do not know name of father of Charles, but mother was Martha Jane Mitchell and her mother was Lucy Ann Evans/Whittington and she could not speak any English. Supposedly Lucy was of Indian and possibly French decent. The reason for the two names for Lucy is there are two exact pictures of her with the different name on each. Any info on this family would be appreciated. My grand father was born in Bouge Chitta MS and I assume this is where he was in jail. Sharon
