Hello everyone, This might sound like a really silly question, but I was floored last night when my sister in law, ( I am researching husbands Carlisle roots this is his sister) Said that her father was French? That the Carlisle family was from France. Does anyone know about this French connection to the Carlisle family? Their father was born in Lee County Alabama, and as far as I can tell so was his father, William Jackson Carlisle b 1860, Opelika, Lee County Alabama. Any help with this question? Thanks Debbie
