HI With the name Coleman appearing in a Carlile line there probably is a connection. Unfortunately, I don't have any of your names in my data base. Do you have the names of Sarah Roberson Ward's parents? Perhaps she's the one that is connected to the Coleman's. Did your line have anything to do with the Methodist Church? Quite a few of my line were Methodist circuit riders. If so, you can ask Duke University for any early records they might have. Duke serves as a repository for the early Methodist records. If memory serves me right, there's a $25 fee per name which is returned if they don't find anything. Has the name Glenn showed up in your line? That's another early Methodist circuit rider family which married into my Coleman and Carlile lines.
