Would like to know parents of Nathaniel Carlisle (Sr) whose will was proved in Halifax Co NC in 1812. I have found a record of the birth of a Nathaniel in Prince George Co VA to Richard and Mary Carlile but that was in 1720/1. Is this the same Nathaniel who lived to be much older than most of the men in that time? If so where was he between 1721 birth and when I find a deed where he bought land in NC in 1776? Was he married more than twice? And who was his first wife? Need a lot of help with the ancestors of Nathaniel. I have a copy of his will if anyone is interested.
