Hello everyone I am researching some of our Carlisle's. We know that Clinton S. Carlisle DOB abt1894 is the GGgrandfather on husbands side. He was said to be from Aplaca Alabama. However that place does not exist. They could have meant the Northern part of Ala, or Opliaka County. I have not found them listed on any records in Alabama however. He did marry Ruby Taylor in 1911 and they lived in Uvalde County Uvalde Texas until his death in 1926. These are the names on back of an old photo we found, believed to be his brothers and sisters. Does anyone know anything about this line of Carlisle? They have spelled it Carlisle dating back to Clinton.
