Looking for help on David Carlile, born circa 1740 in New Jersey? Found documents in Hunterdon Co NJ courthouse on a David Carlile, which I believe is my David. He moved to Loudoun Co VA in early 1760's. Married Mary Etta Brown on 4/22/1760 (bible states this date and location as Probahim District NJ - which I've been unable to locate). Mary Etta Brown was the daughter of James Brown and Margaret Barclay. In Loudoun Co Va, they had the following family Robert Carlile 4/29/1781 d 3/22/1871 m Catherine Brown John b 3/13/1761 died young James 1/18/1764 m Elizabeth Beatty? Robert 5/29/1766 or 1770 died young Margaret? 5/23/1770? moved to Ohio John 5/27/1772 moved to Ohio died 1841 Mary 6/21/1775 m John Craven 2/6/1799 d 1841 Martha 10/10/1777 I descend through Robert Carlile and Catharine Brown. They had 11 children and I can give information on this couple, if anyone is researching.
