    3. A Simon Carlisle was a Methodist minister in Smith Co TN. I had wondered if he's connected to the Edgecomb Carlisles. Simon & Wm Carlisle owned land in Jackson Co TN, very near the Smith Co. line. This Wm was a Rev. soldier; applied 3-21-1833 Jackson Co from Geneal. Abstracts of Rev. War Pension Files Vol I by V. White: b. Guilford Co NC, moved tp VA to Green Co KY to Fayette KY to Nelson KY to Madison KY back to Green KY then in 1801 to Jackson TN. I believe a Wm who's buried Bedford Co TN is also a Rev.
