Hi! I am looking for members of the Samuel & Mary Carlyle family. Both were born in Scotland around 1800. Their daughter, my ggg grandmother, Esther Carlyle, was born 24 April 1824 in England. The family returned to Scotland and Esther married John Allan, son of James Allan & Margaret Stirling, on 27 February 1842 in Gorbals, Lanarkshire, Scotland. John & Esther had one son in Scotland, James, born in 1844. The rest of their children, Mary, John, Wallace, Agnes, Esther, Jessie, Samuel, & William were all born in Ontario. In 1870, the family settled in Bay City, Michigan, where Esther Carlyle Allan died on 19 May 1874. If anyone thinks they may be connected to this Carlyle/Allan family, please contact me. Thanks!
