Hi Nancy, Your John Stephen Carlile is, I believe, brother to my Thomas Carlile ca 1805-1880. I have found your John on both the 1850 and 1860 Arkansas census. The father of these two is William Niler Carlile Sr. Sue Erickson and I have been tracking William Sr. across Arkansas. I have a note in my records that says "There is a Thomas Burrows liviing in Cadron, Pulaski Co. Might be Martha's father" Dian My ancestor is John Stephen Carlile, b. MO 5 Mar > 1811, d. TX 18 June1902. He was married to Martha Burrows first (m.13 Jan > 1831 AR).
