Dear List, I have just discovered that my 3rd great grandparents were married in Grenada on 1 December 1820 "by virtue of a License from His Honor the President". Does this mean there might be a marriage allegation associated with the marriage licence as in the UK? If so, do such allegations still exist somewhere? Grenada? Or perhaps London?
