Hi All, I'm looking for information on these two families in Jamaica. The Gregg's used to live in Mandeville, then St. Andrew. The Levy's were possibly from Black River. One Mr. Charles Levy ( my Grandfather) ran a drugstore at Half Way Tree until his death in the mid 1960's.Any ideas where I should look for this?I'm new to this group, so I'm not sure where to go for info. The nationally known Capt. Morgan Rum now made in Puerto Rico was originally a medicinal tonic made in Jamaica. I believe it was made by the Levy Brothers firm in Kingston before it was bought by Seagrams tycoon Sam Bronfman who relocated production to obtain the benefit of lower taxation for sales to the States. I wonder if those downtown Levy Brothers had a connection with Charles?
