    3. Hi listers, I have come to the end of the East Indian Indenture Immigration W.I. thread. I must once again thank all those who participated. I would like us to explore other threads for other groups of people however minor. The ones I have in mind are the German Indentured, the Maltese Indentured and the African Indentured. In relation to these three, I am particularly interested in where they came from, where they went in the various colonies, and what happened to them. Did many die, did many or most leave, did many stay, did they leave their mark in terms of names of towns or villages, and family names in the various colonies? In the case of the African Indentured, I a very interested in the names of the tribes and where they came from in Africa. We can also try to deal with Inter-Colonial migrants after the Emancipation of the Slaves. Later we can also deal systematically with Jews, Walloons, and Huguenots. I would also like us to take a look at African origins of the slaves in the slavery period. We have already touched upon the Germans and the Jews and the West African origins of most of the slaves. However in regard to the latter, I am particularly interested in the mention of particular tribes in the history of the various colonies. I would like us to also identify where in West Africa these tribes came from in terms of the territories back then and where these tribes or territories are now in terms of present day countries. So please focus your memories, dust off your reference materials, revisit relevant websites and extract the relevant information in regard to the various groups mentioned above. Looking forward to your continued participation in regard to any of the above.
