The staff environmentalist for HoVenSA and the Alumina Refinery on St. Croix is Kurt Vialet from St. Thomas.
Thank you Richard!!! My grandmother, Juliette F. Vialet-Potter's father was Lionel E. Vialet. He had 8 brothers and 2 sisters. The youngest child, Aubrey Vialet has two children, Kurt and Sandra Vialet. I suspected Kurt was living in St. Croix because our family was recently struck with a tradgedy. Roy Vialet, Jr., at age 15, was struck down by a hit and run motorist and died. I saw Kurt's name in the obituaray. I still have not clarified how Roy Vialet Sr. and his family is linked to us, but my grandmother tells me yes, he is a cousin of ours. I saw several of my uncles' names in the obiturary too, including Susthens Vialet. I also saw an ad in the St. Croix Avis June 26 issue where a woman named Wanda Marisa Figueroa-Vialet was thanking her family for supporting her (she was voted Teacher of the Year 2003 for the Ricardo Richards Elementary School on St. Croix). She listed Kurt Vialet as her husband. I didn't know that Kurt worked at HOVENSA though! Thanks alot! Now I know where I can contact him and also can include his profession in my notes. Every little bit helps. THANKS! By the way, where are you from Richard? Monifa Kurt is my grandmother's cousin. Kurt's father is Aubrey Vialet, my grandmother's uncle.
