Along the same lines, I happen to have a VERY small connection the the Saunders of NF. One of the NF Winters in the peripheral branches of my tree married a Saunders. Jane Mary Winter, born abt 1802, died in Quebec City, Quebec on 29 Jul 1882; she was 80. Jane Mary married John William Saunders. Jane Mary was a daughter of George Winter, my GGGG Grandfather. HI Tony I don't have any evidence of a Newfoundland connection yet, but I can't rule it out either. My family has itchy feet and I know I have family in Canada, England, Jamaica and Australia.so far.
