The newspaperarchive.com web site calls itself, "The world's first, largest and busiest website of fully-searchable historic newspapers." Additionally, I made another find. If you have Scottish and English ancestors, and have an idea of where they came from. A number of old directories are on line and electronically searchable at this site.
