Following a herring here and would appreciate any leads: Piercefield House, Monmouthshire, South Wales, part of an older estate, which was sold in 1802 to someone called Nathaniel Wells, "who had inherited his fortune from his father, a merchant of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. Wells added to the estate until it reached a size of almost 3,000 acres." (from John Weston, Data Wales website at http://www.data-wales.co.uk/soane.htm) Anybody ever heard of this St. Kitts merchant? Tian Uddenberg
