Hi David Ah indeed. I have reached a point in all of this where everything I want to read or study is behind a wall called J-Stor, Cambridge Press, Oxford Journals etc etc etc. The combined subscription fees to breach these barriers would exhaust at least a quarter of my income. Bloody rude these academics wanting to make money on their work.....how dare they when I have so much to do and so little time...harumph I also need a specialist in British colonial estate law, one analytical economist and a permanent agent in the stacks at the Pro(connected 24/7 to me by satellite phone.....) who is a whiz at mercantile and marine research.....THEN I could not only tell where all the bodies were buried but explain Why....and perhaps determine which documents have disappeared into the Devil's Triangle..... Given ancestral precedents I had expected to take a delicate slug of very good rum instill a proper roar in the Council and commission one or two privateers to defend our God given right to information from the encroachment of "foreign" elements. Alas, I no longer drink.....and who cares about the Council anymore.... It's all so....well, modern. Oh I forgot the translators....the Dutch are probably keeping the best secrets cause they hooked everyone up in the first place. Sugar Haa! Give me a lungful of that stout Bajan wrapper anyday....best physic for the consumption, what? Its all so Changed....Col John spends hours ordering his chair to broadside the French and no one repeats his commands as crews should do...the Navy has gone to hell I say. ........................................ Alright I'm done. Do not try this at home. Apologies from ChrisCod adrift somewhere in the Triangle off Ft Lauderdale Good Hunting -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. Bravo, Chris, what an elegant rant !! That should liven things up. Augusta Elmwood in New Orleans P.S. Even if you go onto a university campus and use their library computer terminals, I think to access J-Stor, etc., you need a STUDENT/FACULTY ID # or password or some such thing, i.e., no pay, no play. I hope I am wrong about this. ----- Original Message ----- From: "C.M.
