    3. HI there, I wonder if you thought of checking the records of ships sailing from Bordeaux in France to Haiti for that period. I spent some time in New Orleans and on a tour of the plantations, learned that families in France would send their children out to Haiti (and later to Louisiana ) to live on their plantations and to carry out military service. These same families moved to Louisiana after the revolution in Haiti in 1790's. There may be some lace to check the records on line from France.
