    2. Not sure who might be interested, but I stumbled upon the David Rumsey antique map collection and found this map online. It is "Zoomable" so you can read it, and it contains the names of plantations (presumably the plantation holders). There are also several maps of Antigua & Barbudas. The Insight (tm) browser has a seqrch engine of sorts. http://www.davidrumsey.com/maps5918.html Home page: http://www.davidrumsey.com/index.html Happy hunting, Laura

    3. Thank you for that information Laura: I was not aware of the Rumsey collection. I have taken a look and it is a very interesting & useful site; I found it difficult to scroll around the map on his site, but that may just be my ineptitude. However I do own an original copy of that same Bowen map (and also the Moll map on which it is based) and have digitised it, (as well as some others from my own collection). If anyone is particularly interested I could try e-mailing the jpeg, but the full version is rather large and might overload mailboxes, unless I can reduce the resolution to a more manageable size, but please contact me off-list if it is of interest to you.
