Cindy, it is interesting that your great grandmother's mother was an OXLEY as there are earlier links between GITTENS & OXLEY families in Barbados. The Oxleys are interesting as the earliest one I have found in Barbados appears to have been born in 1682 in Pennsylvania, so it is quite likely that they were originally a Quaker family. He died in Barbados in 1743, leaving descendants who were still there in the late 1800s and may very well be your line. If you can find Olive's parents and their marriage, I may be able to link them up to both Oxley and Gittens families, so do contact me if you are able to find more. I found out her mother's maiden name is Oxley (that was on Olive's death records - she died in California in 1981). But I don't know any more than that. I have a few other family members to research who were born in Barbados (SQUIRES), so maybe the LDS records will help me with those too. No virus found in this outgoing message.
