His wife Mary mentioned in the will is not Frances's mother: her mother appears to have been also named Frances (surname unknown). Will of John Ffrye the Elder Esq. of Antigua. 14 Aug 1747: Wife Mary. Dau Frances wife of John Duer. Sons Roland, Samuel & William Frye. Dau Henrieta Maria Byam, grandchildren Lydia, Mary Eliza. George & John Byam. ... Wits: B. Anderson, John Pearcy, Kean Osborne. On 6 April 1748 J. Pearcy and K Osborne appear to attest will. With regard to the children of George Rose & Theodora Duer, according to my info they had a third son, Charles Philip ROSE who died in Bordeaux in 1835, but the official sources do not seem to mention him. William Stewart (who was apparently a poet and a translator - my own profession. See Wikipedia) died in 1843.
