Hi Ernest That's a fine idea. How shall we implement it? Coordinator polls list here! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ernest M. Perhaps someone knowledgable about each territory (Barbados, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Leewards, Windwards etc.) _____ I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. I did put together something similar to a FAQs for the list about 5 years ago, but folks didn't seem interested at the time. I also have a Word document with lots of Caribbean specific URLs that I've collected from this list over the years. I'd be happy to share with whoever is pulling this together. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Penny Kilbane I did put together something similar to a FAQs for the list about 5 years ago, but folks didn't seem interested at the time. I also have a Word document with lots of Caribbean specific URLs that I've collected from this list over the years. I'd be happy to share with whoever is pulling this together. I could start a page on Historic Antigua and Barbuda to post the material until we can work out posting it on the Carib-Gen site If any submissions could be submitted in Times New Roman / MS Word to me that would be helpful. Since I am near famous for not having as much time as I am wont to volunteer, once the page is set up it will be quite simple to paste each island in as the submissions are made. It would also be helpful to work the islands in their customary groupings ie "Antigua and Barbuda" under Leeward Islands. I personally am nearly ignorant of resources for Montserrat St Eustasius etc so anyone who has a good working knowledge of these island resources would be welcome. This too for the Virgins, Trinidad and Tobago St Lucia etc Truth is there are a lot of guides, but not in one place one url. Anything but a basic site would become a lot of work because the individual histories of the islands play such a part in what is available and what is not. (or why you must look somewhere else to find it) But if the list thinks a unified site as a simple intro would be helpful I'm willing to coordinate it or assist another volunteer by hosting the info on the Hist A+B site till better arrangements could be made.
