    3. Always lovely to hear from you Laura. I believe the Charles Pedder in the NY Census is Charles Leacock Pedder, son of Charles Lloyd Pedder & his wife Mary Elizabeth Leacock. The Mr. Pedder at Mt. Prospect House might be his brother, John Leacock Kortwright Pedder as I know he died in Barbados in 1933 and he owned Babb's Plantation & possibly Burnt House Plantation as well. Those are interesting leads, so they will be on my research list for a long overdue visit to Bdos & to the Museum! Also, I have so much fun with Familysearch.org's pilot web site (http://pilot.familysearch.org), because the filters are so easy to use. There is a Charles Pedder in the NY census (Brooklyn) 1892 born 1860 Barbados, listed as an alien. ... There is some sort of "Pedder collection" at the Barbados Museum. In 1876, there was a "disturbance" at Mount Prospect involved Mr. Pedder, who lived in Mt Prospect House. ...
