Ann The same thing happened to my wife's email account about a month ago, but not mine, and she's not on the Carib list. The same kind of messages, the same hijacking of address book. I never figured out exactly how it happened, or why it didn't happen to my account, run from the same computer, but I bought a new antispyware program and it hasn't happened again. No apologies necessary. I also have an additional one that at all times that will alert me at once. I do not have a facebook, my space, I do not twit or IM and I very seldom 'forward' an email, as a matter of fact, it is one of my pet peeves. I have a McAfee website alert, that will tell me if a site is ok. I think I have done my due diligence. Still this happened. Any so, per instructions, I did 3 full scans and found nothing, All I know is that my email contact list has been 'jacked!The other advise is to change my user name and passwords. With the ones I can remember, I did, however, that made me angry, I feel cornered, and all I want to do is hunker down in the tall grass and wait to get them, guess I am human after all. What I have decided to do is, continue to use my old user name, everyone that I am in contact with, know it, But you also know that I never contact you without a reason, so there will ALWAYS be something in the subject line.You also know why I contact you, is it personal, genealogy, gardening, etc. so if you see something from me that does not jive, please scan it if you can and report it to your email customer service, or delete it. I would also ask, if you can remember, let me know what other user name, other than Ann Q, you received this crap from, it will help me change those usernames. Again, I am so, so very sorry that this happened, and so, so very ANGRY.
