    1. [Carib] Antigua genealogy in 1844 book, also slavery
    2. For those doing genealogy research in Antigua, I came across a Google book, fully viewable, "Antigua and the Antiguans: a full account of the colony and its inhabitants," printed in 1844. The genealogy is in the Appendix and includes the surnames WARNER, WINTHORPE, BYAM, WILLIAMS, CODRINGTON, MATHEW, MACKINNON, THOMAS, CARLISLE, LAVINGTON, FITZROY, WILLOUGHBY, MARTIN, and FREEMAN. There's also the 1710 will of Governor PARKE. Besides the genealogy, there are numerous chapters dealing with slavery. If you can view Google Books, you can read this one at http://books.google.com/books?id=K8ANAAAAQAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_v2_summary_r&cad=0#v =onepage&q=&f=false Cheers, Laura
