Thank you Anthony. Christian Dottin ALLEYNE (born in Barbados) was the dau of Sir John Gay ALLEYNE, the first Baronet, and married the Rev. Henry WITHY in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in April 1829. I have no idea why the Irish newspapers carried the notice months later; perhaps because it was a Society wedding. Henry Withy was actually born in London, but I suppose his family could have had Irish connections; his father Robert could have been Irish.
