Hello List I have left my earlier postings below, and have made some advances in my research, which (naturally!!) leads to more questions. Question 1: Barbys Hill? Barbies Hill?? I have scoured the Google map for Barbados, but have had no luck! Maybe its name has changed?? Question 2: Where would birth, death and marriage records between 1928 and 1942 be held please?? I am I correct in saying these dates are on the "cusp" and some would be at the Barbados Registration Department and some would be at the Barbados Department of Archives? The parents of the gentleman in my earlier enquiry (born in 1937) were Stanley Beresford LYNCH born in (the parish of ??) Christchurch and Miriam Arnester LYNCH, formerly McLEAN, born Barbys Hill . I am not sure of the correct spelling of this location, or the middle name Arnester. Stanley LYNCH (also known as Leonard LYNCH) was a mason by profession. Miriam LYNCH died about 1942. I have not had any success with telephoning the Barbados Registration Department, but once I sort out the place names above I'll try again, in writing, hopefully with more success, and have also sent an email enquiry to the Barbados Department of Archives, meanwhile any ideas and assistance would be very welcome.
