A new year, a new try to see if I can glean some much needed information from any source...... An ancestral relative of my husband went to Jamaica as a Methodist minister. His name was Elisha Penrose and he worked at the parish of Clarendon from about 1855 onward for a number of years. Apparently he married there, but who his wife was we do not know. They returned to England due to his wife's ill health, but she died before the next census, so her name never appears in any documents that I can access from here in Canada. Can anyone on the list offer me some help? Does anyone have access to resources in Jamaica that might assist us to find more about the Rev. Elisha Penrose? Many thanks to all who might be able to assist! Sher Ontario
