Hi! - I'm new to the list. I'm looking for any information on John A. SMITH, born 9 Jun 1885 in CA; died 1963 in Placer Co., CA. The California death index gives date of death as 24 Mar 1963 and Social Security gives date Feb 1963. From other sources, he is the son of William SMITH born Indiana and Mary Elioza QUIJADO born 1848 in Mexico. He is probably the brother of my daughter's 2nd great-grandmother, Bertha Ellen SMITH or Ellan B. who married 1st Lallie C. FERNANDEZ; 2nd William Leroy OUSEY.
