    3. California State Statutes, Stats. 1895, p. 109 Chapter CXVI. An Act to authorize the Trustees of the city of Auburn, Placer County, to remove a cemetery, and to donate the land occupied thereby to the public for a park. [Approved March 26, 1895.] The People of the State of California, represented in the Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows: Section 1. The Trustees of the city of Auburn, county of Placer, shall have the power and authority, in their discretion, by ordinance duly passed, to cause all bodies now buried in the old Auburn cemetery, now located near the center of the city, to be removed therefrom to some other more suitable locality. Sec. 2. The said Trustees shall, upon the removal of said bodies, declare, by ordinance duly passed, that the said cemetery is vacated and abandoned as such, and the land now occupied by said cemetery shall become public park. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect immediately.
