Who's in Your Family Tree? If you have been thinking about how to start researching your family history, the following free event is just for you. Date: Saturday, 15 October 2011 Event: Family History Day at the California State Archives Location: 1020 “O” Street, Sacramento, California Time: 8:30am-4pm The public is invited to enjoy Family History Day at the California State Archives. Volunteers in period clothing will greet and mingle with attendees at this free, public event. The day will feature genealogy classes primarily for the beginner researcher but with opportunities for the more experienced to refine their skills. Attendees will enjoy classes in the Archives Preservation Lab to learn about the historical documents held there, research in the Root Cellar Genealogical Library, take Archives tours, and visit with genealogical, historical & lineage societies, research libraries & archives staff at their exhibits.
