At St Mary de Castro there is the following monument: ELIZABETH KERSHAW Underneath are deposited the remains of Elizabeth Kershaw of Dannet's Hall/ the wife of the late John Kershaw/ of Hallifax in the county of York/ who, to the inexpressible grief/ of her family and friends/ departed this life/ on the 6th March 1832. / This tablet, an affectionate tribute/ to departed worth/ is erected by her relations. Signed by Samuel Hull, a monumental mason who had premises in Granby Street. There is a daughter of John & Elizabeth KERSHAW of Danett's Hall died 1834. Mary Joanna NOBLE wife of Joseph William NOBLE MD. There is more detail about this NOBLE family.
