    3. Joanne, thanks for working on your current project on ships. Most of the sites John offered (thanks John) I have tried and can't find "my" ship. I'll try a couple of ones he listed I didn't know about. Let me entreat you to keep going, though. Many Scots came over whose ships have not yet been identified. If you find some of these ships, you will have offered a valuable service to many. Also, does anyone have a site that would give info on ships that went down during the late 1700's? I have a relative who was lost on such a shop, according to family stories. This rootsweb site has been so quiet. Where is everybody? Off playing in the sand and surf, I guess. I still need some sources to check for all of those hundreds of Scottish ships that landed in Wilmington,NC. Does anyone know where all of those old records would be stored if they survived at all. If they are in Raleigh, where do you think they would likely be? In the Archives or the Sect. of State's office? May I'll go on line tomorrow and find out. In the meantime, for any of those interested in working in the Scottish records, this site was recommended to me.:.: http://users.deltanet.com/~lrawlins/igi.html#intro Slainte!
