Dear Listers and especially John Lester, In the midst of so much trauma this autumn---hurricanes, floods, loss of life--- I must say that this wonderful CAPE-FEAR-SCOTS group hangs in with true Scots tenacity and hospitality. (Oh, yes---the so-called thrifty Highlanders & Islanders were among the most generous, forthcoming and welcoming folk I have ever traveled and lived among.) John, you are Johnny-on-the-spot with long lists of URLs to help the one and the many. Please pardon me while I gush a bit, and thank you for your selflessness and concern for others. We all know what hope can reflower when an opening appears in the genea-labyrinth!
