Hi John. I notice you are researching the Bethunes, among others. Do you have anything on John Bethune the surgeon who came over in 1774? The other John, the minister, is more prominent in the records, it seems, but I haven't found much on my John. He was the father of Sally Bethune married to Neal McLeod, my progenitor. I get a great deal of satisfaction when I think I have helped others and that is what motivates me. But when I get a "Thank You", such as yours, it seems to move the motivation into high gear of which I thank you for that also. Our Scottish Heritage and the special heritage which my family has given me in Southeastern North Carolina are very dear to me.
