I am searching for the parents of an Alexander McKenzie b. 1785 in Robeson/Bladen co NC. He married a Charlotte (Monroe) b. 1785 ?NC. I know he was in Fayetteville NC in May 1809. I have his "pocketbook" in which he wrote "Alexander McKenzie, his pocketbook. Bought at John Thompson's storehouse. May 1809" He and Charlotte and one child (John Buie McKenzie) crossed the Creek Nation in 1810 with a William Monroe and his sister. They settled in Perry Co. MS.
