Is anyone familiar with this county that was supposedly on the NE Cape Fear River and the Black River? Supposedly the Welsh came from New Castle on the Delaware with Baron von Graffenreid to settle this area. As it included what is now a part of Duplin County, I am interested in knowing if there was a list of the people coming over with this Baron von Graffenreid, or at least a little bit more history on this area. Thanks Wanda
My NAPIER family information is limited to Nelia Frances NAPIER and sister Demarius NAPIER of who lived in Pittsylvania/Patrick counties of Virginia, very near the NC border. I believe their parents were Wm and Mary NAPIER. ANy leads or additional info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Harold
Hello: I am interested in researching my ancestors surname of GROVES. If anyone on this list is researching this surname or has information to share, I would appreciate it. Thanks Wanda
Seeking a good reference to the political and/or parish divisions in Scotland during the 19th and 18th centuries. For instance Knapdale was split into North Knapdale and South Knapdale in 1734. This is the kind of information I need to help me locate my Scots ancestors. Any suggestions? Thanks for all help offered. Hello Everyone, This site is worth looking into. I have been told by several friends that it is worth the money, although I have not yet used it myself at this time. Read the directions carefully and print them out before you begin so as not to waste your time and money and in order to get the biggest bang for your dollar. Enjoy yourself. Click here: Scots Origins Thanks John

Do you have a WEB site? If so what is URL Thanks Gerry Killcreas
Hey Gerry, No, we don't have a web site just yet. Hope to have one by mid summer possibly. Thanks John
Yes, at www.MonroeGen.org . The site includes genealogies on several Monroe families originating in the upper Cape Fear area (Cumberland, Moore, Robeson, etc.). If you are not interested in the Monroes, the "Documents" section includes quite a bit of original material -- wills, estate records, Civil War service records, etc. -- which may be of interest generally. Hey Doug, I am listing some clickable sites for you to use in your search. A couple of them I can't remember exactly what the content is so they probably will not be of any help. Anyway, one place to check is St Andrews College as they have a multitude of information. The others are county sites. I would check with Myrtle Bridges as she is extremely knowledgable about things of that nature. I will also copy her in this email so that you can reference her email address. St. Andrews Presbyterian College: Scottish He... N.
