    1. [CANHAM] I am uncertain of what exactly happened with our list- but
    2. please be informed that I found what appeared to me to be a suspicious e-mail address for someone subscribing and blocked that address. I then received a notice telling me:The address that is about to unsubscribed generates the following multigram matches to the current list: and all of your e-mail address were displayed. If you understand what is happening here, please tell me! I am terribly sorry if this cause any of you any problem at all. Holly PS- guess this is one way to get us all yakking- but it wasn't my idea!

    1. [CANHAM] CANHAMs, CANHAMS, eveywhere!
    2. Karen Eddy has sent along her line of CANHAMs hailing from Surrey, England. Several folks have submitted their lines from other areas of England and know their CANHAM immigrant. I have not yet been able to find connections to these families, but I am sure there will be one. If any of you have had more success in tracing the lines backwards in time, please let us know! Thanks, everyone! And Happy Mother's Day to all of the CANHAM Mom's! Holly

    1. [CANHAM] My Canhams/Cannoms
    2. Jim McCallum
    3. Hi Fellow Canham/Cannom researchers: My name is Jim McCallum, and I live in Ontario, Canada, near Stratford. My Canham ancestors originated in the parish of East Ruston, Norfolk, England, and immigrated to Orleans County, New York about 1854. A few years later they moved to London, Ontario Canada. I have spent many hours tracing the Canham family origins from East Ruston to the parishes of Neatishead, Irstead, Coltishall, Sutton, etc. all in Norfolk. I now have the family lineage back well into the early 1600's and my compilations are a work in progress. Anyone wishing to have a copy of my file (though under construction) is most welcome to it. My e-mail is [email protected] Good luck everyone with their research! Jim

    1. [CANHAM] parish of Neatishead
    2. Jim McCallum
    3. Hi All I'm in the process of extracting all references to the Canham and related families from the parish register of Neatishead, Norfolk, where my Canham ancestors lived in the 1700's, and probably your ancestors too! Many of you already have my original notes outlining our descent from a Samuel Canham, born about 1739. I am pleased to report that I have been able to gather further details about him, his wife, and their descendents from this parish register. I plan to type the results of my work in a report, which I will be glad to share with anyone who is interested. I will need another week or so to make sure I haven't missed any entries. The first ten years of the register is very hard to decipher, and some in Latin, making it nearly impossible to decipher. There are also surrounding parishes where our Canham ancestors were baptized, married and buried. I may continue with some of those to find additional details. Jim McCallum (great great grandson of Martha Harriet Cannom [Canham]) [email protected]
