Geri, I'm not positive I have the answer, but I believe when I was trying to do lookups on the 1880 Napa County Census Gordon Valley was listed as a township. Don't hold me to it, please, just in case I'm WRONG! LOL Your best bet would be to inquire with the Napa Valley Genealogical Society.
