I am trying to trace an ancestor HENRY ADAMS b. 1839 Canal Bridge, Stafford, England. That address is even listed on the 1881 Census at West Brom where he was living then with his family. Would anyone know if Canal Bridge was acutally along the STAFFORDSHIRE & WORCEESTERSHIRE CANAL? I have been making enquiries on the Staffs. Gen. List and have been told that it might be somewhere between Baswich and Hazelstrine Bridge. - where is the Hazelstrine Bridge - is it at the bottom of Wildwood? I couldnt locate it on the new map. I've found Hazelstrine Lane there. I also notice on the Waterways and Locks website that Hazelstrine Bridge is listed. There also used to be a Hazelstrine Village back in 1889 - again I found this from the old maps. I would be very grateful for any information on Canal Bridge and its location.
