    3. Hi Alan, No references to Hale Joseph, Chatter family or Whitehouse. Randall/Randle: BRINKLOW PARISH RECORDS 9.6.1806 - JOHN RANDLE - Boatman - age 35 (the entries preceding this one are all burials, so I imagine that's what this is too). On the FRONT COVER OF CANAL MISCELLANY BOOKLET is a photograph, the caption is: "ISAAC RANDLE born Exhall 1820 died 1885 Braunston, Northamptonshire (boatman). PRUDENCE RANDLE (nee HARTOP) born Bedworth 1821 died Braunston 1885. Isaac was a canal boatman. The family disappeared from Exhall/Bedworth by the 1871 census. They turn up in 1881 at Braunston, which is by the longest canal tunnel in England. According to Isaac's will his address was The Canal Tunnel House, Braunston. The photograph dates circa 1860-61 and was taken at Exhall where son Joseph was born in 1858. Isaac and Prudence are the great-great-grandparents of Susan Mole of Worthing." (If these are your Randles you ought to buy a copy, it's a good photograph of the two adults, child and a dog, especially for 1860). SUNDRY RECORDS FOR CANAL BOAT PEOPLE IN WARWICKSHIRE. UPDATED 9.3.1998. 1891 CENSUS FOR BEDWORTH Bedworth Hill RANDLE - James - h - wdr - 36 - coal miner - Exhall RANDLE - Sarah Ann - dau - 14 - Exhall RANDLE - Joseph - son - 16 - Boatman - Foleshill RANDLE - Harriett - dau - 14 - Exhall RANDLE - Isaac - son - 8 - Exhall RANDLE - Emily - dau - 4 - Exhall This concludes all references to Randle. Regards, Elaine
