I am trying to find out anything about a man by the name of William DAY who was described as a boatman on his daughters marriage certificate. She married (for the second time) in 1859 at the age of 32/33 and according to the 1861 census was born in Northfield, Worcs. I believe that this is the Northfield that is now under the Birmingham heading. I am interested in this man because he would have been my gggg-grandfather! I have been unable to locate any details from the IGI for the birth, christening or initial marriage of his daughter Sarah DAY and am hence currently hitting a brick wall. Any information about any William DAY who could potentially have been father to Sarah would be appreciated. Thank you in anticipation of any information offered.
