I am a new subscriber to the List and wonder if there is anyone with connections to the Commander family. Briefly Robert Commander b 1835 Worcester apparently worked on the canals. His brother George Commander owned The Prince of Wales Robert's son George Robert worked the canals before settling in Wales early 1900's.
