Hi, The 1871 Reading census shows Joseph EACOTT as a Publican of the " Jack of Newbury", Bridge Street, Reading. He is also shown as Boatowner and Master of the Vessels "Victoria" on which his brother-in-law James Emans is to be found, and the " Napoleon". The boats are at Canal Wharf, Bridge Street Reading.
