Hi List I am a new subscriber to the Canal People list. I have Hannah NEVITT marrying Joseph HEWITT in 1848 in Grantham. On their marriage certificate both gave their occupations as Boatman. Hannah's father Joseph NEVITT was a Beer Seller at the Hand & Heart in Wharf Road Grantham. Can SKS give me any advice on how to track this couple down. I have not found them in the 1881 census although Hannah would have been about 60. She had a son Joseph Lyne NEVITT who was born in 1844; his father was Joseph LYNE, a grocer. Hannah did not marry the boy's father. Regards Colin West Sussex
