Hi! The Big Question is WHEN? I'm chasing two quite unconnected ALLEN families in the UK - one lot were Watermen on the Severn River and the Wide Canals, roughly 1820-1890, while the others built boats for for our Narrow Canals from around 1880-1995. There are more than a few from Both Trees who 'just disappeared' - quite possibly to Your Neck of the Woods... But none of those I've so far found had "I" to start their first names - or their mothers, come to that.
