Dear Listers A big Thank You to all list members for joining "Canal People". There are now nearly 50 of us from The UK, US,Canada, Australia and NZ, all coming together to share details and info about our Canal People. I am not really into rules, so, there are only a few, and they are really just the usual. No Flaming, I have a delicate head! Try to keep on topic, I WON'T have a wobbly if someone posts the odd joke, or alike. As long as it has a genealogical angle I shall be happy. Just don't do what I did recently, send an email to my Sister in Law about cooking Haggis, but instead sent it to a mailing list in error. Now everyone knows my Sister in Law can't cook, opps!! Apart from that this is it. I have a list of books etc on Canal and Boatmen and I consider this worth posting. If you have any comments let me know. Perhaps we should make a start by listing the canal areas and names we are researching? This is OUR list so lets get this boat on the canal!
