Hello Listers First of all I would like to thank Mo Wood for her recent listing of boatmen from 1913. This has given me some indication where some of my extended family might have ended up. So I thought I would give some background information to some of the names mentioned. Edwin Burton son of Thomas Burton and Hannah Burley who were married at weston on Trent 04/10/1860 Henry Burton was another son the family seemed to have orginated from the Stone Staffs area Edwin Burton married Louisa James 30/05/1887 at Weston on Trent. Louisa James was the daughter of Philip James and Ellen Wenlock who married at St Marks Ocker Hill Tipton Staffs 11/10/1860 Philip James was born abt 1834 Tewkesbury Glos. Ellen Wenlock born abt 1845 Worcester Worcs she was the daughter of Thomas Wenlock and Maria Barker who married 7/5/1823 St Marys Kidderminster. Thomas Wenlock born 22/11/1801 Kidderminster Worcs to Edward Wenlock and Martha Yarnall nee Hayward who is my 5 x great grandmother I decend through the Yarnall line. Philip James jnr born 1870 brother to Louisa married Mary Ann Jenkinson Hollinshead 31/7/1893 Penkridge daughter of Moses Jenkinson Hollinshead and Eliza Fradley who also married at Penkridge 19/7/1848.
